Gary Bartell is a long-time auto hobbyist and has shown and judged antique and classic automobiles throughout the United States for over 45 years. Gary is a a well-recognized expert in antique and classic automobile appraisals specializing in rare and one-of-a-kind vehicles and those with former celebrity or famous ownership. Some of the autos appraised by Gary include a 1934 Duesenberg Murphy Coupe once owned by Mae West, a 1934 Packard Speedster, 1936 Auburn Speedster, 1925 Isotta Fraschini, and a 1937 Cord Convertible to name just a few. In 1985, Gary launched a political career that spanned the next 25 years in Florida. Major accomplishments include spearheading the drive to build and open a veteran and senior service center in West Central Florida (Lecanto) and securing over $21 million dollars in grant funding to provide central sewer and water to environmentally sensitive areas of Citrus County. Gary retired from politics in 2010 and is currently the owner and operator of Riverlake Cottages Vacation Rentals, located in Homosassa, Florida (VacationHomosassa.com). In his spare time Gary enjoys fishing, boating and tinkering with antique and classic cars.
